Honesty and Integrity
The men and women who serve on OUR Supreme Court must be people committed to the highest standards of integrity, honesty and openness. Tim Armstead has upheld these standards throughout his two decades of public service and brings this same commitment to honesty and transparency to the court.
Chief Justice Tim Armstead believes OUR Supreme Court must be fair and impartial. Tim is committed to the Rule of Law and will show each individual litigant respect. Tim will work to ensure that our courts are transparent and provide our citizens their “day in court” in a fair manner. Tim believes that each litigant has the right to have a decision on the merits of his or her case.
Efficiency and Responsible Management
Tim Armstead is a fiscal conservative. Throughout his years of public service, including his time as a legislative leader and as a leader on our Court, Tim managed the taxpayers’ funds responsibly and efficiently. Tim recognizes that each dollar that funds our court system belongs to the taxpayers and he will work to ensure those funds are not wasted or spent irresponsibly.
Tim Armstead believes that a justice should interpret the law as written rather than legislate from the bench. Tim knows the importance of judges who follow the rule of law. Tim has both significant legal experience as an attorney and two decades of helping write our laws. He recognizes that justices should interpret the laws adopted by our legislature and uphold the standards established by our state and federal constitutions.
